Let me just start by saying YUM.

Have you ever had one of those cravings for some melted cheese, some fresh veggies, delicious sandwich meat, and most importantly two slices of perfectly toasted bread? Well I have, and until recently those cravings have never been thoroughly fulfilled, that is, until the The Jalopy came along.

My sandwich, now dubbed the “monstrosity” is the Caprese with extra bacon and hot peppers – let me tell you, if Heaven were a panini, this one would have the biggest Halo.

If you haven’t been out to The Jalopy, stop what you are doing and go there NOW. I recommend you order a side of chips (I get the Dill with a dust or two of cayenne to give it a kick) and of course a novelty beverage – my fav’s are cream sodas and big reds, of course.

Don’t forget to engage in a hearty conversation with the incredible owner, Nick. Better yet, join him in a sing-a-long (Disney tunes are the way to go) and he will remember and cherish you forever!
