You have to go to Clems for a great meal. Plain or dressed with their grilled jalapenos and/or grilled onions on that delicious buttery bun and special spicy mustard makes the best hot dog I’ve ever eaten. MMM MMM MMM!

Two handsome fellas serving DELICIOUS hot dogs. The bun is slathered in butter and grilled and the dog is T-A-S-T-E-Y. Diggety, diggety!

They’re seriously the nicest people ever! I haven’t intentionally gone there yet, though I surely will soon, but I have had 2 great experiences with the owners/ employees nonetheless! The first time I caught them on opening night on the way out of East Side Showroom around 2am or so, and they offered free hotdogs because they were closing! The next time I saw them was when I was eating Old School BBQ with a friend (also super yum!) and a guy from Clem’s brought over boiled peanuts for us to try! They were great. Can’t wait to go there and purchase an actual meal. Nothing like amazing customer service to your not-yet-customers to get people interested 🙂

i tried these wonderful treats. I was expecting a hot dog on a regular bun. But the bun these guys use is not only very different but the way they toast it makes it really special. I have never seen a bun like it.

Add the trimmings, especially the grilled onions and a dog that is superior quality meat and you have a treat beyond expectation.

If you havent tried them don’t wait too long. I will be back as soon as I get back to Austin for another of these delicious treats.

    two thumbs up from me.

Yummy. Great hot dog. Love the grilled, buttered bun. And fresh home-ground spicy mustard. Next time I am trying grilled jalepenos and onions though. Great idea. Just the right mix of Austin-weird and trailer food. PS the french fries from Old School in the same spot looked super good. Trying them with my hot dog next time.
