Haven’t been able to update for the last couple weeks so there is a load of stuff to note. Anything you see i have missed, please email me.
Thanx to TastyTouring for the following news: The Eastside Food Trailer Park or E.A.T. (EastAustinEAT.com ) will be opening in June and intends to include not only food trailers but an outdoor park with seating and free wireless and host movies and live music events. E.A.T. is located at 2326 E Cezar Chavez. It’s adjacent to the Pink Building — a shared space for artists to create and show their work. The Gala Opening is now scheduled for June 5th from 11am – 10pm.
Trailers will include A Little Dippy Donut Company (Sat 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.), Beso de Luna, from the team at El Sol y La Luna (Tues – Sun, 7 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.), and TREAT (formerly located at the South Austin Trailer Park & Eatery – hours will be Thursday – Saturday from 6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.). There will also be carts and trailers serving bagels, smoothies, hot dogs, and hamburgers. Thanx again Jodi for the news.

Spring is upon us and new carts are springing up like the wildflowers. if you find new ones i don’t have listed please email me.
New additions to the AustinFoodCarts website:
The Longhorn Food Court is filling out nicely. They are still looking for a vegetarian cart, contact me and i can give you more information. This is the lineup so far

A new addition to the South Congress trailer park scene, try out Turf Grill for some cool sandwiches.
Excitement grows for el naranjo opened by Chef Iliana de la Vega, who formerly had an acclaimed restaurant of the same name in Oaxaca, Mexico.
How ’bout lunch downtown? Try out Down Town Burgers.
There is a new Trailer Park eatery to open called the Longhorn Food Court. The location is where Ivory Cleaners once was at MLK Jr. Blvd. and Rio Grande, only a few blocks from the University of Texas. For more information contact Jason @ 512-300-6262

SXSW: Make sure to check with vendors for special hours and locations for SXSW. Twitter, web and Facebook information is best and included on most vendor pages. Check out the SXSW Food Guide published by Addie Broyles
SXSW: The Foodspotting Street Food Festival at SXSW will be held on Saturday 11am-3pm, March 13, 2010 celebrating the launch of the Foodspotting iPhone app at SXSW by bringing some of Austin’s best street food trucks and carts together (@mmmpanadas, @chilantrobbq, @goodpops, @holycacao, @sugarstaraustin, @takorea and others will be selling their best items) for a Street Food Festival in Brush Square Park, just outside of the convention center!
SXSW: Chi’Lantro has published there SXSW schedule and locations here.
SXSW: Welcome Cafe Racer to the Austin trailer scene. Grand opening scheduled for this weekend at SXSW.
SXSW: One Taco will be parked @ 3rd and San Jacinto lot from 7am to 3 pm and from 3pm till closing at our regular Woodrow’s spot
SXSW: The Shed BBQ Grand Opening is scheduled for Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 2:00pm next to Rabbits on E. 6th & Chicon – 78702
SXSW: Welcome Austin Frigid Frog to the Austin trailer scene. Grand Opening for Snowcones on Sunday, March 14th.
Bananarchy has opened for the season at 700 S. Lamar. Hours are 3:00pm to 9:00pm
Moo Moo’s Mini Burgers, a trailer serving burgers they describe as ‘bigger than a slider, smaller than a regular burger’ has re-opened at 1210 Barton Springs Road. Open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesdays through Mondays. Closed Tuesdays.
Man Bites Dog has opened a second location. Open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays at 2101 Manor Road.

Dry Comal Creek Vineyards, just off Hwy 46 outside of New Braunfels, is looking for wine-friendly trailers on Sundays in April. Hours are Noon to 5 p.m. They will have live music in addition to the trailers. Let me know if you’re interested or know someone who might be.

We lost a favorite cart this week as Taste No Evil Muffin Company closed down.
Added FN Goode Burgers to the site.
Added Frietkot to the website. They will specialize in hand-cut Belgian style fries. They are not open yet, more information as it becomes available.
